Don’t try to stump the E Street Band, baby!

Don’t try to stump the E Street Band, baby!

De ahí el principio: “The band does not know this song! They don’t know this song! They never played this song!”

Y así, sigue la gira…

Impresionante versión de The Ghost of Tom Joad en Los Ángeles

Impresionante versión de The Ghost of Tom Joad en Los Ángeles

Bruce Springsteen y Tom Morello

Set list

Badlands
Outlaw Pete
My Lucky Day
No Surrender
Out In The Street
Working On A Dream
Seeds (first since 1996!)
Johnny 99
Ghost of Tom Joad
Good Eye
Good Rockin’ Tonight (1947 jump blues)
Darlington County
Growin’ Up
Waiting On A Sunny Day
Promised Land
The Wrestler
Kingdom of Days
Radio Nowhere
Lonesome Day
Born To Run

Hard Times
Thunder Road
Dancing In The Dark
Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out
Land Of Hope And Dreams
American Land

Destaco las nuevas canciones, claro. Especialmente Outlaw Pete y The Wrestler.

Y de las recuperadas, me encanta que esté tocando The Ghost of Tom Joad en una tremenda versión eléctrica. Bueno, el paquete Seeds, Johnny 99, The Ghost of Tom Joad y Good Eye.

We are one: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial.

Life itself…

Life itself…

We met down in the valley, where the wine of love and destruction flows
There in that curve of darkness where flowers of temptation grow
I left the rest for the others it was you and nothing else
You felt so good to me baby, as good as life itself

You were life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in the black elms
Life itself, in your heart and in your eyes
I can’t make it without you

I knew you were in trouble, anyone could tell
You carried your little black book from which all your secrets fell
You squandered all your riches, your, your beauty and your wealth
Like you had no further use for, for life itself

You were life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in the black elms
Life itself, in your heart and in your eyes
I can’t make it without you

Why are things that we treasure most slip away in time
’Til to the music we grow deaf and to god’s beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart

‘Til we fall away in our own darkness
Stranger to our own hearts
And to life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in the black elms

Life itself, in your heart and in your eyes
I can’t make it without you
So here’s one for the road
Here’s one to your health

And to life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in the black elms
Life itself, in your heart and in your eyes
I can’t make it without you

Life itself
Life itself
Life itself
Life itself

Otra canción que me llama muchísimo la atención es Queen of the Supermarket… “I’m in love with the Queen of the Supermarket…”, con ese pitido característico de las cajas del supermercado… No sé cómo tomarlo… 😉

My Lucky Day – El single de Working on a Dream, el nuevo disco de Bruce Springsteen

My Lucky Day – El single de Working on a Dream, el nuevo disco de Bruce Springsteen

My Lucky Day

Aquí está el videoclip de My Lucky Day… con un pequeño Making Of delante:

LUCKY DAY
Bruce Springsteen

In the room where fortune falls
On a day when chance is all
In the dark of this exile
I felt the grace of your smile

Honey you’re my lucky day
Baby you’re my lucky day
Well I lost all the other bets I made
Honey you’re my lucky day

Well I’ve seen some hearts give way
To the burdens of the day
To the weary hands of time
Where fortune is not kind

Honey you’re my lucky day
Baby you’re my lucky day
And I lost all the other bets I made
Honey you’re my lucky day

I’ve waited at your side
I’ve counted the tears you cried
But to win darlin’ we must play
So hide your heart away

Honey you’re my lucky day
Baby you’re my lucky day
When I lost all the other bets I made
Honey you’re my lucky day

¡Muchas gracias!

Working on a Dream

Working on a Dream

Out here the nights are long, the days are lonely
I think of you and I’m working on a dream
I’m working on a dream

Now the cards I’ve drawn’s a rough hand, darling
I straighten the back and I’m working on a dream
I’m working on a dream

Come on!

I’m working on a dream
Though sometimes it feels so far away
I’m working on a dream
And I know it will be mine someday

Rain pourin’ down, I swing my hammer
My hands are rough from working on a dream
I’m working on a dream

I’m working on a dream
Though trouble can feel like it’s here to stay
I’m working on a dream
Our love will chase trouble away

[whistling interlude]

I’m working on a dream
Though it can feel so far away
I’m working on a dream
Our love will make it real someday

The sun rise up, I climb the ladder
The new day breaks and I’m working on a dream
I’m working on a dream
I’m working on a dream
I’m working on a dream

I’m working on a dream
Though it can feel so far away
I’m working on a dream
Our love will make it real someday

I’m working on a dream
Though it can feel so far away
I’m working on a dream
And our love will make it real someday
